How G2 Brothers Construction Ltd collects, uses and protects personal information.

Who we are

G2 Brothers Construction Ltd carries out residential construction work — extensions, renovations, kitchens and bathrooms — across Surrey & South London.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Information you may provide

We usually only hold the information needed to respond to an enquiry and to carry out work you have asked us to do. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:

  • Your name
  • Your telephone number and email address
  • The address or postcode of the property concerned
  • Details of the work you are considering
  • Plans, drawings and photographs relating to the project
  • Correspondence between us

We ask that you do not send us sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary for the work.

How we receive information

We may receive information from you through:

  • Enquiries submitted through our Tradify enquiry form
  • Enquiries submitted through the enquiry form on our Contact page
  • Telephone enquiries and messages
  • Email correspondence
  • Information shared during site visits and project discussions

Project and customer information

Where you go ahead with a project, we keep the records needed to plan, quote for, deliver and account for the work. This can include quotations, schedules of work, variations, invoices, site notes and photographs of the works.

Photographs of completed work are only published on this website or on social media with the property owner's agreement.

Website usage information

Our website is hosted by a third-party provider, which may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.

We do not currently run any website analytics on this site. If that changes, this policy and our cookie policy will be updated first, and analytics will only run with your consent.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar storage so the website works correctly. Non-essential cookies are only used with your consent, which you can change at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer.

Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.

Why we use your information, and our lawful bases

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and arrange site visits
  • Prepare quotations and plan work
  • Carry out and manage projects, including ordering materials and arranging trades
  • Keep accounting, tax and warranty records
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations
  • Improve our website and services

Our lawful bases are normally: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing a contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and improving the business; complying with legal obligations such as tax and building regulations record keeping; and consent, where consent is required (for example non-essential cookies or marketing messages).

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the business — for example website hosting, email, accounting software and job management software. They only process information on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.

Enquiries submitted through our enquiry form are handled in Tradify, the job management software we use to manage enquiries, quotations and projects.

We may also share information with sub-contractors, suppliers, surveyors, architects or local authority building control where it is necessary for your project, and with our professional advisers or insurers where required.

We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not proceed are kept only for as long as they may reasonably be useful, and are then deleted.

Where work is carried out, project, financial and warranty records are kept for as long as needed to meet our legal, accounting, insurance and liability obligations, and are then securely deleted or destroyed.

Keeping information secure

We take sensible steps to protect personal information, including access controls, reputable software providers and limiting access to those who need it. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take our responsibilities here seriously.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
  • Ask us to delete information where there is no good reason for us to keep it
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
  • Ask for your information in a portable format where that right applies
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent

To make a request, please contact us at contact@g2brothersconstruction.co.uk. We will respond within the time limits set out in law, normally one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
